MUSIC WORLD MOURNS GOSPEL SINGER TAIWO ADEGBODU

Taiwo Adegbodu, one half of the renowned Yoruba gospel duo, the Adegbodu Twins, has passed away.
The news was shared on Sunday through a post on the group’s official Facebook page, managed by their team.
In the heartfelt message, the family expressed profound sorrow over his sudden death, describing it as a deeply painful and difficult loss.
Fellow gospel artist Esther Igbekele also confirmed the news on her Instagram page, sharing a photo of Adegbodu and paying tribute to him in Yoruba.
The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Taiwo performed alongside his twin brother, Kehinde Adegbodu, and the duo gained prominence in the Yoruba gospel music scene following the release of their debut album, Faratimi (Lean on Me), in 1999.
Over the years, they became celebrated for their spiritually uplifting and culturally rich music, building a devoted fanbase within the Christian music community.
