Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka has been re-elected as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State following the party’s state congress held on Tuesday in Damaturu.

Speaking to members after the exercise, Gadaka described the congress as peaceful, transparent, and free from any imposition.

“There was no imposition of candidates, and the entire process was conducted smoothly without rancour,” he said.

He also commended officials from the party’s national headquarters, led by Ambassador Babagana Ajimi and Muttaka Rabe, for their effective oversight and ensuring the credibility of the exercise.

“We are thankful to the national headquarters for deploying a credible team to supervise the process. Their oversight ensured transparency and boosted confidence among our members,” he added.

Gadaka revealed that the Congress Committee had submitted its report, covering the 178 ward congresses and 17 local government congresses held across the state.

He credited the smooth conduct of the exercise to the inclusive leadership approach of Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni.

“The unity we observed today reflects the commitment and inclusive leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni,” he said.

Gadaka urged party members to maintain this spirit of unity as preparations get underway for the APC’s national convention scheduled for March 2027.
