Emirates Airline has announced the immediate suspension of all flights to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) until further notice, citing ongoing airspace closures across parts of the Middle East.
In a post on its official X handle, Emirates said the decision was taken as a safety precaution amid rising regional tensions and restrictions affecting multiple flight routes.
“All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will share updates when available,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline also appealed for patience from passengers affected by the disruption.
“We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience as we closely monitor the situation,” the airline added.
Earlier advisories had indicated that scheduled commercial operations would remain suspended until 23:59 UAE time on March 7, but the latest announcement extends the halt indefinitely as authorities continue to assess the security situation in the region.
Airlines operating across the Middle East have been adjusting flight routes or suspending services due to airspace restrictions linked to heightened military strikes and security concerns.
“Passengers scheduled to travel through Dubai are advised to monitor updates from Emirates and check their flight status before making any arrangements to travel to the airport,” the airline said.
