2026 FIBA WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: D’TIGRESS SECURE 101–84 WIN OVER PHILIPPINES

Nigeria’s D’Tigress rallied to defeat the Philippines 101–84 in their third match of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Saturday.
The African champions, who had suffered a 77–60 loss to Colombia in their second game on Thursday, got off to a slow start.
The Philippines took the first quarter 25–21 and carried a nine-point advantage into halftime, leading 51–42.
D’Tigress gained control in the third quarter, outscoring the Philippines 34–21 to overcome the deficit.

Rena Wakama’s team sealed the win by overpowering their opponents in the final quarter 25–12, surpassing the 100-point mark in commanding fashion.
D’Tigress will take on France in their next match on Sunday, before concluding their campaign against Germany on Monday.
