Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has dismissed viral reports suggesting that singer Obesere is her biological father.

The reports, which circulated on social media over the weekend, claimed that Debbie had revealed the secret after keeping it hidden for years.

In response, Debbie posted a video on her Instagram page on Monday, clarifying that she has never had any personal contact with Obesere.

Addressing the backlash, Debbie stated, “This has gone too far; the news is everywhere. I have never met Obesere, so how could I have said he’s my biological father? Don’t I resemble my own father? Am I not a reflection of my biological dad?

“Obesere is not my biological father. Please stop spreading false information! Stop writing or posting things I never said. Some commentators don’t even verify facts before hurling insults.

“I never made such a claim, nor did I cry out as they allege. I urge everyone to stop circulating fake news. Bloggers should also share this video as promptly as they spread the false reports,” she added.
