NPFL: RIVERS UNITED HIT WITH ANOTHER TITLE SETBACK AS ABIA WARRIORS SECURE HOME VICTORY

Rivers United faced another setback in their title chase after a 4-1 loss to Nasarawa United in Lafia on Monday.
The home side struck early, scoring twice within the first five minutes through Ngei Oluka-Efor and Abubakar Abdullahi.
Chimezie Victor added a third goal in the 15th minute, before Taiwo Abdulrafiu pulled one back for Rivers United nine minutes later.
JoFrank Istifanus scored Nasarawa United’s fourth goal in the 58th minute.

Rivers United remain second on the league table with 52 points, while Nasarawa United rise to third with 50 points.
Meanwhile, at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Abia Warriors secured a 2-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes.
Suraju Lawal and Casmir Azubuike found the net for Abia Warriors, while Joseph Godfrey scored for Niger Tornadoes.
