Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has voiced her support for her mother amid the controversies surrounding the film The Return of Arinzo.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, she described her mother as “always misunderstood” and unfairly targeted.
Commenting on the issues surrounding the movie, she suggested the timing of the disputes was deliberate. “Since Arinzo’s announcement, can’t you see the pattern? A lot of drama back-to-back, all aimed at ruining her plans,” she wrote. “But God is stronger than man. This movie will sell, in Jesus’ name!”
Priscilla also defended her mother’s reactions, pointing out that she faces criticism no matter her response. “When she’s quiet, they twist the story. When she speaks, they get angry about the truth and still twist it!” she added.
She emphasized her mother’s resilience and the support she still receives from fans. “A good heart will always win… if she were a bad person, do you think people would show up and support her? Exactly,” Priscilla noted.

Highlighting her mother’s efforts to help others, she said, “Most of the time she gets dragged because she’s always fighting people’s battles online and offline, but when it’s time for them to fight for her, what happens? They go mute.”
Priscilla concluded by reaffirming her unwavering support and rallying fans ahead of the film’s release: “YOUR FANS AND JPS LOVE YOU! Never change who you are… the truth will reveal itself eventually… Arinzo! IT WILL SELL! APRIL 3RD, WE ARE COMING OUT IN FULL FORCE! NO DISTRACTIONS!”
Fans responded with messages of solidarity. #Layole Oyatogun wrote, “To truly know you is to love you unconditionally… your hard work, perseverance, and sacrifices have culminated in this remarkable project… we stand united.”
Another user, #JP Diaries Canada, added, “We love you QUEEN!… THE RETURN OF ARINZO IS A SOLD-OUT MOVIE by God’s special grace… April 3rd, we show up BIG.”
#Ruthanna commented, “Queen mother is just too kind to be misunderstood… anytime she releases a movie, they try to frustrate her efforts… The Return of Arinzo must break records.”
Priscilla’s post comes amid recent Nollywood developments, including Iyabo Ojo’s attempt to mediate between Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, though she later stepped back, saying she had “tried her best.”
