The Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The development was disclosed in a brief statement issued on Wednesday by the Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Ismaila Misilli, via his verified Facebook page.
The statement, which gave no further details, simply read: “BREAKING NEWS…Governor Inuwa Yahaya dissolves Gombe Executive Council. More details to follow.”
Although no official reason has been provided for the decision, the dissolution is expected to affect all serving commissioners and members of the state executive council.
