Tinubu gave the commendation on Friday while inaugurating four projects carried out by the Bayelsa State Government. These include the 60MW Bayelsa Gas Turbine, the dualised New Yenagoa City Road 1, the 630-metre Angiama-Oporoma Bridge, and the Sagbama–Ekeremor Road.

The President pledged that the Federal Government would continue strengthening security through training and intensified efforts against terrorism and banditry.
Tinubu also said the projects align with the All Progressives Congress’ stance that governance should deliver tangible infrastructure and economic benefits to citizens.

“There can be no industrialisation, skill development, or empowerment without power. We are committed to ensuring electricity drives our growth,” he said.
Tinubu assured Bayelsa of continued federal support for development partnerships.
Earlier, Governor Diri said the projects were aimed at closing long-standing infrastructure gaps, especially in riverine areas. He added that the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge would greatly improve connectivity and reduce travel time for communities in Southern Ijaw and Brass local government areas.
