OLISEH HAILS LOOKMAN AS ATLETICO KNOCK OUT BARCELONA

Former Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh, has praised Ademola Lookman for his standout display in Atlético Madrid’s victory over FC Barcelona.
Lookman’s decisive goal secured Atlético’s place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, knocking out their LaLiga rivals on aggregate.
Atlético had earlier claimed a 2-0 win in the first leg at Spotify Camp Nou. Although Diego Simeone’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat in the return leg, they progressed 3-2 overall.

Barcelona initially took control with goals from Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres, but Lookman responded in the 31st minute, finishing off a swift counterattack to shift momentum.
Oliseh described his compatriot as the difference-maker in the tie, highlighting both his impact and growing maturity.
“Talk about being an absolute influential player! I am extremely happy for Lookman. His goal made the difference. He is also showing so much maturity that is quite remarkable,” he wrote on X.
