Bayelsa Queens head coach Whyte Ogbonda has expressed confidence in his squad’s depth despite the absence of key players on international duty.
The Prosperity Angels currently have five players representing Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels.
Ogbonda added that the team will make the most of the available players in the squad.
“We will work with the players available to us, while allowing those on national duty to focus and perform well for the country,” Ogbonda said in a media chat.
“We have enough quality in the squad to handle the remaining fixtures and achieve positive results.”
Ogbonda added that the players away on international duty are expected to return ahead of the Super Six playoff tournament.
The MEDIA reports that Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, and Edo Queens have already secured playoff places from Group A, with three matches still left in the regular season.
