POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS, ARMED ROBBERS AND THIEVES IN OYO

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of several suspects linked to offences including kidnapping, theft, and armed robbery.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade.
According to the statement, the suspects identified as Musa Ajibola, Hassan Mohammadu, and Umaru Hassan were apprehended at the Latayo farm settlement in Ile-Ido.
The statement said:
“Following credible intelligence provided by members of the public, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, ordered a coordinated operation which led to the arrest of three suspects—Musa Ajibola, Hassan Mohammadu, and Umaru Hassan—at Latayo Farm Settlement, Ile-Ido. They were linked to the kidnapping and subsequent release of a victim.
“In a separate development, acting on intelligence about the criminal activities of one Ibrahim Adebisi, who specialises in stealing motorcycles, the Commissioner again directed a coordinated operation.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to stealing motorcycles from Ilesa in Osun State and transporting them to the Ojoo area of Ibadan for sale.
“Following this information, the police moved to the Ojoo axis, where one Hussein Haruna, 23, was arrested. He admitted to being a receiver of stolen motorcycles.
“In another operation, one Imoleayo Ibrahim was stopped and searched, and a locally fabricated pistol was recovered from him, leading to his arrest.”
During interrogation, the suspect admitted that the firearm was meant for use in armed robbery operations along the expressway. He further revealed that he works with two accomplices, Ibrahim Najeem and Olamilekan, who assist in planning and carrying out the attacks.
