2027: PDP WILL PRODUCE NIGERIA’S PRESIDENT – MAKINDE

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the 2027 presidential election in Nigeria.
His statement comes amid ongoing leadership disputes within the party that have resulted in internal divisions and factional alignments.
The PDP has recently been split between camps aligned with Makinde and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. Despite the controversy and various court rulings, Wike has maintained that the party remains united and has no factions.
However, Makinde insisted that the PDP, under his faction’s leadership, is positioned to reclaim power in 2027.
He made the remark while speaking at the 103rd National Executive Committee meeting of his faction of the party, held on Monday in Abuja.
According to him, “We should write it down. This gathering will produce members of the House of Assembly, members of the House of Representatives, Senators, Governors, and the next President.”
