“THEY’VE BEEN ARRESTED,” TONY ELUMELU SPEAKS ON ALLEGED DIVORCE WITH WIFE

The Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA), Tony Elumelu, has denied reports claiming he and his wife have divorced.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the United Bank for Africa described the viral claim circulating on social media as false, defamatory, and malicious.
The bank also disclosed that the police have arrested three individuals allegedly linked to the creation and spread of the false divorce story.
According to the statement, the suspects are being investigated for their involvement in disseminating the misleading information.
Meanwhile, the family of one of the suspects, Kingsley Akunemeihe, has appealed to Elumelu to show mercy, with his sister making a public plea in a viral video.
Activist Omoyele Sowore also called for the suspect’s release.
The incident follows a wave of unverified and false claims circulating on social media concerning Elumelu’s personal life.
