MURTALA SULE GARO TAKES OATH AS KANO DEPUTY GOVERNOR

Murtala Sule Garo has been officially sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Kano State.
He took the oath of office before the state’s Chief Judge in the presence of Governor Abba Yusuf in Kano.
Reacting to the development, Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, congratulated Garo in a post on X, wishing him success in his new role as he partners with Governor Yusuf to promote the state’s growth and development.
Garo, who previously served as Kano State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, was nominated to succeed former Deputy Governor Abdussalam Gwarzo.
The position became vacant after Gwarzo resigned on March 27, 2026.
