APC REAFFIRMS 2027 PRIMARY ELECTION SCHEDULE REMAINS UNCHANGED

The All Progressives Congress has denied reports alleging changes to the timetable for its 2027 primary elections, maintaining that the previously announced dates remain unchanged.

The clarification was made in a statement issued on Wednesday night by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, and published on the APC’s official platform.

According to the statement, the House of Representatives primary election is scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2026, while the Senate primary will hold on Monday, May 18, 2026.

The party further announced that the State House of Assembly primary election will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with the governorship primary slated for Thursday, May 21, 2026.

It added that the presidential primary election remains fixed for Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The statement noted that the clarification became necessary due to the spread of false and misleading reports on social media and other platforms claiming that the timetable had been adjusted.

The APC therefore urged party members and the general public to ignore any unofficial information concerning its election schedule.
