BEYONCE DONATES £8,000 TO NIGERIAN-OWNED RESTAURANT IN LONDON

Beyoncé, the American artist, has given a gift of £8,000 to a prominent Nigerian-owned restaurant in North London, along with nine other recipients.
According to ITV news on Tuesday, Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation launched the Black Parade Small Business Impact Luncheon to “celebrate people, communities, and small businesses impacted by economic inequities worldwide,” with Beyoncé committing £806,400 to support businesses.
Beyoncé’s foundation chose Chuku’s, a restaurant in Tottenham, to receive £8,000 in funding.
Emeka Frederick, co-founder of Chuku’s, expressed his gratitude, saying, “This grant couldn’t come at a better time.” Lockdowns and the cost of living crises have wreaked havoc on Chuku’s and other restaurants that lack a cash reserve.
“Every day, we fight to stay open in order to celebrate our fourth birthday.” This money will help with that fight and allow us to continue celebrating Nigerian culture on Tottenham’s High Road for the time being.”
The luncheon was held at the Four Seasons in Tower Hill, and over 100 entrepreneurs attended with the opportunity to win £806,000 in prizes.
