PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION TRIBUNAL TO DELIVER JUDGEMENT ON SEPTEMBER 6
On September 6th, the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPT) is anticipated to issue its eagerly awaited decision.
The hearings would be available for live broadcast by interested television stations, Court of Appeal Registrar Umar Bangari announced on Monday.
In a plea to the tribunal, the Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), as well as their presidential candidates, asked that President Bola Tinubu’s election as the winner of the 2023 presidential election be declared invalid.
Election tribunals in 25 states are also anticipated to rule on petitions for the governorship, the National Assembly, and state assemblies.
Out of the 28 states where elections were held, at least 25 of them are contesting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) announcement of the polling results.
