
LAGOS GOVT ORGANISES WORKSHOP FOR LASEMA, LASAMBUS, FIRE SERVICES STAFF
The Ministry of Establishments and Training has organised a workshop for the staff of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Lagos State Ambulance Service and Lagos State Fire Services. The Three-Day workshop with the theme: “First Responders”, commenced today in Ikeja with 100 participants in attendance drawn from the three agencies.
Declaring the workshop open, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun advised participants to embrace the opportunity of collaborating in the course of the workshop, adding that they should approach the workshop with an open mind and eagerness to learn by asking questions.
She appreciated the staff of the three agencies for the critical role they play with regards to disaster management in the State, adding that the workshop was organised for them to be more effective and efficient as first responders on their jobs.
Similarly, the Ministry of Establishments and Training has also organised training for other officers in the State Public Service with the theme: “Business Writing and Communication Skills”
The Two-Day training which also commenced today at Public Service Staff Development Centre had 65 participants between Grade Levels 13-17 in attendance drawn from different agencies and cadres.
The programme, which was declared open by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, was intended to sharpen the writing skills of participants.
