Super Eagles of Nigeria beat Guinea-Bissau 1-0 to reach the round of 16 in the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast on Monday.
An own goal by O. Sangante after a dangerous pass from Moses Simon, has sealed a qualification to the next round.
Peseiro stuck with the same 3-4-3 lineup that he adopted against Cote d’Ivoire in the last match. Guinea-Bissau vs Nigeria was played at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium.
Despite the victory, Nigeria finished second in the group following Equitorial Guinea shocking 4-0 thrashing of tournament hosts, Cote D’iviore.
