VIDEO NEWS REPORT OF HELICOPTER CRASH INVOLVING HERBERT WIGWE
Herbert Wigwe, the group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc, was involved in a helicopter crash in the United States on Friday.
Wigwe, his wife, and son were in the helicopter when it crashed in California near the Nevada border, as were Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group).
Six passengers were onboard; however, no survivors have been found so far.
It was learnt that Wigwe who was travelling to Las Vegas to watch the Superbowl, has his Private Jet parked in California and was flying by helicopter to Las Vegas, because there are no longer parking spots for Jets in Vegas.
Super Bowl LVIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday.
The Super Bowl will be played between Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.
Additional reports indicate that there were two helicopters flying towards the same direction at the time of the incident.
While one had Wigwe and his family on board, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Wigwe’s business partner and former Access bank CEO, and Tunde Folawiyo, business mogul, were reportedly aboard the second chopper.
