The newly appointed governor of Sevastopol, who was appointed by Moscow, reported that a Russian military aircraft went down in the sea on Thursday off the coast of the Crimean peninsula.
“A military plane has fallen into the sea,” Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said in a post on Telegram, adding that the pilot safely ejected and was picked up by rescuers.
