ONDO GOVT CHARGES SUNSHINE STARS TO BEAT SPORTING LAGOS
The Ondo State Government has charged Nigeria Premier Football League side Sunshine Stars to go for victory in their tie against Sporting Lagos.
The state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Sara Yusuf-Ogunleye, gave the charge in a chat with newsmen.
Yusuf-Ogunleye urged the players to go all out for the maximum points in the game.
He said the game is a crucial one considering the position of the team.
Sunshine Stars will lock horns with Sporting Lagos in a matchday 30 fixture at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday.
“I have been following the team; they are not doing badly, but due to their present position on the table, it is of the essence to ensure that they use their wealth of experience to get the maximum three points at stake in the match in Lagos,” he told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Sunshine Stars occupy 14th position on the NPFL table with 35 points from 28 matches.
