
OSENI APPOINTED NEW SUNSHINE QUEENS HEAD COACH
The Nigeria Women Football League side, Sunshine Queens have appointed Rafiu Oseni as their new head coach, DAILY POST reports.
Oseni takes charge of the team from Oladimeji Abimbola who will now work with the club’s U-17 team.
He will be assisted by Nike Adekunle and former captain of the club, Odunayo Adejoro.
Ondo State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye confirmed the appointment on Wednesday.
The appointments are with immediate effect.
Yusuf-Ogunleye said that the repositioning was aimed at restructuring football in the state.
“I want to appeal to the good people of Ondo State to keep hope alive with us as we embark on repositioning our teams for better performance.
“This is the period we need your prayers and support,” he said.
Sunshine Queens were relegated from the NWFL during the regular season.
