CHELSEA MAKE SHOCK MOVE FOR NEWCASTLE UNITED STRIKER, ALEXANDR ISAK
Chelsea have made an enquiry for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, according to reports.
The report suggests that Chelsea have identified the Swedish international as a key target and claims ‘conversations have taken place’ between the two clubs. However, it’s been made clear that any deal would go well beyond the £115m club-record fee paid for Moises Caicedo.
The Mail also report that talk of a new improved contract agreement for Isak is premature at this stage, but it feels highly unlikely that Newcastle entertain a deal for our top scorer, star man and arguably one of the best young strikers in world football.
While the PSR deadline may be approaching, it’s been made clear that Newcastle want to build around key players like Bruno Guimaraes and Isak; not sell them to a ‘big six’ rival.
Isak scored 25 goals last season and has previously distanced himself from any summer move, saying he has “no thoughts” about leaving and “loves everything” about the club.
