IBEDC ANNOUNCES UPWARD REVIEW OF ELECTRICITY TARIFF FOR BAND A CUSTOMERS
With immediate effect, the electricity cost for Band A users would be reviewed and increased by Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC).
IBEDC reports that the revised rate will change from N206.80/kWh to N209.50/kWh with immediate effect.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), as stated in the multi-year rate supplementary order, has duly approved the review, the business revealed.
The IBEDC management emphasized that a number of important economic indicators, such as changes in the currency rate, the rate of inflation at the moment, the amount of generation capacity that is available, and the price of gas, have made the modification necessary.
The Disco claims that these elements have had a major influence on operating costs and that the revised pricing will relieve these financial strains without sacrificing the provision of high-quality power services.
Agoha, the Acting Managing Director of IBEDC, signed a notice on behalf of the organization stating that “this adjustment affects only Band A customers.”
It further stated that Bands B, C, D, and E continue to have the same rates.
Agoha went on to say that the business is still dedicated to giving all of its clients in all price ranges dependable and effective electrical services.
“We understand that any change in tariffs can be a concern for our customers, and we assure you that this adjustment is necessary to maintain and improve the quality of our services. Our goal is to ensure that you receive the best possible value for your money,” he concluded.
