#EndBadGovernance PROTESTS RESUMES IN PORT HARCOURT MONDAY – ORGANISERS
The “End Hunger” protest organizers in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have announced that on Monday they will gather at the Federal Secretariat, located along Aba Road, to carry on with their protest.
This is based on a meeting flyer that our correspondent was able to obtain on Monday.
Even though there was far less attendance on Sunday than there had been on the prior three days, the demonstrators carried on with their activities.
They reportedly sang and chanted as they used a bathtub to partially obstruct a section of the Aba Road flyover. Nevertheless, there was no DJ or musical equipment.
TWO KOGI OFFICIALS TURN THEMSELVES IN TO EFCC OVER ALLEGED CORRUPTION
Some of them could be heard declaring that they were prepared to continue the protest for the entire ten days as originally scheduled because they felt President Bola Tinubu’s speech did not adequately address their issues.
Even though there were a lot of security personnel there on Sunday, there was no altercation between the demonstrators and the police—rather, communication between the two groups remained friendly as before.
