ASAKE: WIZKID IS ONE OF MY MUSIC INSPIRATIONS
Asake, an Afrobeats phenomenon, has acknowledged that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has a huge effect on his music.
This admission comes as Asake’s third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” includes a highly anticipated duet with Wizkid on the song “MMS” (Mr Money Sound).
Asake expressed excitement about collaborating with Wizkid, describing him as a musical inspiration from his early days as a promising artist in Lagos.
He wrote: “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.
