PHOTOS: NEMA PROVIDES RELIEF MATERIAL TO YOLA MARKET FIRE VICTIMS

Following a devastating fire at Yola South Market, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided essential relief materials to affected traders.

This was disclosed on NEMA’s X account on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

The distribution, which was approved by NEMA’s Director General, Mrs. Zubairu Umar, included both food and building materials to help victims recover from the disaster.

Mr. Ladan Ayuba, Head of NEMA’s Yola Operations Office, represented the Director General during the distribution.

He commended the market leaders for their cooperation and stressed the importance of ensuring that all affected traders receive the necessary assistance.

The distribution was officially launched by the Honourable Commissioner for Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction (RRR), Bar. Hamman Bello Daram, on behalf of the Adamawa State Government.

In his remarks, he thanked NEMA for their swift response and urged beneficiaries to make proper use of the support.

Mrs. Celine L. Kwamoti, Permanent Secretary of the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), was represented by the Director of Relief, Mr. Maxwell Johnson, who also expressed appreciation for the federal government’s efforts and NEMA’s significant role in the recovery process.
