LAGOS SPORTS COMMISSION DISOWNS DUBIOUS INDIVIDUALS SOLICITING FUNDS
The Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) has disowned some dubious individuals who have been parading themselves as Lagos State Athletes soliciting funds to represent the State at a purported competition in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
A statement signed by Lekan Fatodu, Director-General of LSSC, said the act negates the positive position of the Lagos State Sports Commission in the public domain. As such, the Commission condemned this disgusting act and unequivocally dissociated itself from such shady individuals behind the dubious scheme.
The statement reads, āThis is a notification to Lagos State Government officials and the General Public not to associate with such individuals parading themselves as Lagos Athletes as the Commission is the only Body saddled with the responsibilities of sports development, talent nurturing, providing welfare and support for athletes for their participation in legitimate competitionsā.
