CRYPTOCURRENCY: GOMBE TEACHING HOSPITAL WARNS STAFF AGAINST MINING, TRADING
The Gombe State Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, has prohibited staff from engaging in cryptocurrency trading and mining activities during working hours.
The directive follows a series of complaints received from patients and relatives about how cryptocurrency distracts staff members from performing their primary assignment while at their duty post.
In a circular signed by Adamu Usman Tela, Deputy Director, Administration, the hospital management warned that violating this policy would result in disciplinary actions.

The statement partly reads, “Consequent upon this, I am further directed to inform all members of staff that the management will not hesitate to take drastic action in accordance with the public service rule against any staff that is caught engaging in such trading while working and the management has already deployed SERVICOM, ACTU and security officers around to monitor and ensure compliance with the directives.”
The management further urged the staff to focus on their primary duties with utmost diligence and seriousness.
