BREAKING: POLICE DETAIN VERYDARKMAN IN ABUJA
Social critic and media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has been detained by police in Abuja after responding to an invitation from the force on Wednesday.
His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, disclosed the detention, noting that VeryDarkMan has consistently expressed that “the Nigerian Police are our friends, even though we all know they are not.”
Adeyanju stated, “Our client, VDM, was detained after honoring the police invitation. He has repeatedly advocated that the Nigerian Police are our friends, despite common perceptions otherwise.”
Previously, Vanguard reported that VeryDarkMan had issued an apology to the police for wearing a uniform resembling theirs in a video.
He advised Nigerians to always seek permission before wearing items that may appear to be official police property.
