YUSUF MOURNS DEATH OF JIGAWA GOV’S SON
The Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, over the death of his eldest son, Abdulwahab Namadi, who lost his life in a tragic auto crash.
The incident occurred during an already difficult time for the Jigawa State first family, as it followed the passing of Hajiya Maryam Namadi, who was Abdulwahab’s paternal grandmother, just 24 hours ago.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Sunusi Bature, on Thursday, the governor described the loss as a monumental tragedy, not only for the Namadi family but for the Jigawa State government and the entire Northern region.
The Kano governor commended the deceased for his dedication to the progress and development of his community, describing him as a young man with a bright future.
Namadi will be laid to rest in Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, in line with Islamic rites.
Yusuf offered prayers for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for the bereaved family to endure this painful loss.
“This is a deeply sorrowful moment for Jigawa State. I pray that the Almighty Allah grants Abdulwahab eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and comforts the Namadi family and the people of Jigawa State during this moment of grief,” Yusuf said.
