BREAKING: RIVERS GOVERNOR FUBARA ISSUED 48-HOUR ULTIMATUM TO RESIGN OR FACE IMPEACHMENT
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been advised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to either resign from office in an honorable manner or face impeachment by the House of Assembly.
The party claimed that the governor had committed too many crimes that might lead to his impeachment, as revealed by the Supreme Court’s ruling.
Tony Okocha, the state chairman of the APC, stated at a press conference held Monday in his rural home of Port Harcourt that the assembly did not need to form a seven-member panel to look into the governor’s wrongdoings.
“Supreme Court has already exposed those allegations,” he said.
“There are two options left for Sir Siminalayi Fubara. He should either resign honourably or face impeachment,” Okocha added.
