NFF ALERTS PUBLIC ON FRAUDULENT X PROFILES IMPERSONATING COACH ERIC CHELLE
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has warned the public about fake social media accounts impersonating Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle.
In a statement on Saturday via X, the NFF clarified that Chelle has no account on the platform (formerly Twitter) and any profile claiming to be him is fraudulent.
“Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, does not have an X account. His only official social media presence is on Instagram: [@eric_chelle],” the statement read.
The warning follows increasing concerns over misinformation and online fraud, as fake accounts frequently share misleading content.
The statement advised fans and the public to rely on the coach’s verified Instagram account for genuine updates.
“Please be advised that Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, does not possess an X account. Exercise caution and be wary of scams or any misleading information,” the post added.
