TARABA PPRO PASSES AWAY AFTER LONG BATTLE WITH ILLNESS

Superintendent of Police Abdulahi Usman, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Taraba State Police Command, died following a protracted illness.
The Force Public Relations Department issued a statement on Wednesday confirming his death and calling it a tragic loss.
After three years as the command’s spokesperson, Usman passed away early on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Usman served as a liaison between the public and the force in addition to being a police officer, according to the statement released by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, who expressed profound sadness over the death.
“For three years, he dedicated himself to fostering trust, ensuring transparency, and building a relationship of mutual respect between the police and the public in Taraba State. His warm personality, professionalism, and relentless pursuit of justice were qualities worth emulating,” Adejobi said.
He said that the Taraba State Command, the Force Public Relations Department, and everyone who had the honor of working with Usman were deeply saddened by his passing.
“His colleagues remember him as a man of honor, duty, and compassion—a true public servant whose impact will be felt for years to come,” he added.
Adejobi also sent his sympathies to Usman’s family and loved ones, as well as the officers and men of the Taraba State Police Command.
The statement also expressed prayers for the quiet rest of his soul and stated that the Force Public Relations Department is in solidarity with his family, friends, and coworkers during this trying time.
