Seun Kuti has received a courtesy call from Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, also known as AY.
He called Seun his brother and offered him a heartfelt shout-out on his Instagram page. He pointed out how miscommunications occur. But the important thing is that respect and affection always return.

To refresh your recollection, Seun Kuti made fun of Ayo over his burned-out house in 2023. He said that the comedian had used his own hardships to make jokes and had dubbed his daughter a dog in one of his dry sketches. He added that everyone in the industry knows that AY has a foul mouth and hits his wife.
In response, AY pointed out that the more he attempts to stay away from hostility and constant assaults, the more he perceives himself as a predetermined source of suffering for other people. He refuted his accusations with facts, particularly the claim that the singer’s daughter was a dog.
