Babatunde was arrested by operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps in connection with multiple criminal offenses, including stealing and issuing life-threatening threats.

Prosecuting counsel Oyedele Akintayo, representing the Osun State Attorney General, brought two charges against Babatunde: theft and a threat to kill.

The charge sheet stated that the offenses violated Section 390(9) and Section 86 of the Osun State Criminal Code, Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of 2002.

In delivering the judgment, Magistrate Olatunji M.A. outlined the specific charges and confirmed the eight-year custodial sentence.
