POLICE LAUNCH EXTENSIVE SEARCH FOR MISSING BOY, OVIE KEHINDE

The Lagos State Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into the disappearance of a young boy, Master Ovie Kehinde, following the circulation of a viral video in which a distressed mother tearfully pleads for help in locating her missing son.
In a public statement issued on Monday, the Command expressed deep concern over the incident and assured the public that all efforts are being made to ensure the safe return of the child.
To this end, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has ordered the activation of all relevant investigative units within the Command. These include the Special Tactical Squads, Police Divisions, and Area Commands across the state and in neighboring states. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, has also been tasked with leading a discreet and thorough investigation.
“The Lagos State Police Command remains committed to its core mandate of protecting lives and property. We will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of Master Ovie Kehinde’s safe return,” the statement reads.
The Command is appealing to members of the public who may have credible information on the whereabouts of the missing boy to urgently contact the Public Relations Officer of the Command or report to the nearest police station.
Authorities reiterated their dedication to justice and community safety, reassuring the family and the public that every possible resource is being deployed to resolve the case swiftly and successfully.
