The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Taskforce apprehended 84 individuals during an ongoing enforcement and clean-up exercise in the Agege area.
This was revealed by Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, via a post on his official social media platform.
Gawat stated that the operation, conducted on Friday, June 20, 2025, focused on several notorious hotspots in Agege — including the Railway corridor at Ojurin, Isale Oja, Oke Koto, AP Junction, and nearby streets — where officials encountered suspected miscreants and environmental offenders.
A statement issued after the operation read: “Lagos State Environmental Taskforce on Friday, June. 20 2025, embarked on its ongoing clean-up enforcement operation in the Agege area.
