LG POLL: VOTING UNDERWAY AT SANWO-OLU’S POLLING UNIT IN LAGOS ISLAND

Voting has commenced at Polling Unit 006, located at St. Stephens Nursery and Primary School, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island, where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to cast his vote.
The election to choose local government chairmen and councillors began at the unit by 8 a.m.
Officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) arrived promptly to kick-start the exercise.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Jubril Gawat, has already cast his vote at the location.
Security operatives, including police officers, were present at the scene to maintain order.
The local government election is taking place across all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.
