The house also urged the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture to ensure sensitization of the general public on the need to desist from unpatriotic act on the social media.
These resolutions followed a motion raised by Hon. Jide Jimoh on a matter of urgent public importance at the plenary session on Wednesday.
Leading debate on the motion, Hon. Jimoh observed that there have been rise of violent videos and threat posts on social media which may incite and recruit people in and attempt to spread fear in the country.

The house therefore mandated its committees on Police Affairs, Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Public Safety and Intelligence, Defence, Emergency and Disaster Preparedness to organise a Stakeholders Forum on the emerging national threat through social media.
