TOBI AMUSAN FROM NIGERIA STORMS INTO 100mH FINAL

Nigeria’s sprint champion, Tobi Amusan, has decisively advanced to the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships following a commanding triumph in her semifinal heat.
Tobi Amusan recorded an impressive time of 12.36 seconds (-0.2) to secure her place in the final, finishing ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser, who secured second place with a time of 12.45 seconds, and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who captured third place in 12.51 seconds.
The 27-year-old world record holder, who established an extraordinary 12.12 seconds benchmark at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, appeared at ease throughout the race, maintaining control of the competition from the outset.
