Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers and cordoned off a hotel in Mushin allegedly used as their criminal hideout. Arms, ammunition, and other incriminating exhibits were recovered during the operation.

Police said the suspects were apprehended on Friday, October 3, 2025, after detectives sighted four men suspected to be robbers at Empire Junction, Jibowu. While three fled, one suspect, 21-year-old Toheeb Adeboye, was arrested with firearms and ammunition concealed in a bag.

During interrogation, Adeboye reportedly confessed that the gang had just concluded a robbery in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and were headed to New Supreme Hotel, Akala, Mushin, their regular hideout. Acting on this tip, operatives raided the hotel, recovering a pistol, charms, drugs, and other exhibits, while arresting another gang member, 33-year-old Ajayi Adeniyi. The hotel has since been permanently shut down.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, praised the operatives for their swift response and warned hoteliers to keep proper records of guests to prevent their facilities from being used as criminal hideouts. He assured Lagos residents of the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
