POLICE ARREST SIX SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS, RESCUE THREE VICTIMS IN BAUCHI

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested six suspected kidnappers and rescued three abducted victims during a coordinated operation in Euga village, Toro Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil.
Wakil explained that the operation followed a distress call received on September 29, 2025, from a community member who reported that unknown gunmen had abducted three men Idi Umar, Idi Lawan, and Musa Lawal.
“Upon receiving the report, a coordinated response involving the Toro Area Command, Toro Division, and Nabordo Division, alongside local security partners, was immediately activated,” the statement read.
According to him, the joint team tracked the suspects to the outskirts of the village, where they engaged them in a swift operation that led to the safe rescue of the victims.
The arrested suspects were identified as Abubakar Usman, Adamu Alo, Abubakar Aliyu, Umar Habu, Abubakar Mamman Abubakar, and Shehu Sambo.
Wakil noted that the victims have since been reunited with their families in good health, while the suspects are providing useful information to investigators. They will be transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Bauchi for profiling and prosecution upon completion of investigations.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, commended the officers involved for their swift action and urged residents to remain vigilant and share credible information that could help security agencies combat crime and maintain peace in the state.
