The Lagos State Government has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Cycology X Itel Tour de Nigeria Cycling Race, scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the government said the 60-kilometre race, organised by the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) in partnership with Cycology Cycling Club, will hold from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The race will start at Dolphin Loop, pass through Osborne Road, Ring Road, Third Mainland Bridge, Iyana Oworo, Gbagada Expressway, Oshodi Oke, and MMIA Underbridge (U-turn), and end at Dolphin Estate.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, alternative routes have been provided for motorists.
Motorists from Ikeja and nearby areas heading to Victoria Island are advised to use Ikorodu Road to Funsho Williams Avenue, then connect Eko Bridge and Outer Marina.

Those from Lagos–Ibadan Expressway (Mowe and environs)are to use Ojota Slip Road to Ikorodu Road, link Funsho Williams Avenue, and connect Eko Bridge to continue their journey.

The statement added that the Third Mainland Bridge will remain open in both directions, with movement managed to allow race flow. Side roads along the route will be opened intermittently as the race progresses.

Mr. Osiyemi assured that no road will be completely closed, as Police and LASTMA officers will be on duty to guide motorists and ensure safety throughout the event.

He urged motorists to plan their trips early, use alternative routes, and be patient, noting that the temporary diversions are necessary for a safe and successful cycling event.
