Saudi media personality Waleed Al-Faraj has criticized superstar Cristiano Ronaldo over his ongoing strike against sponsors of the top clubs in the Saudi Professional League.

The Portuguese forward has missed two league matches while continuing his protest.

Al-Faraj asserted that Al-Nassr, known as the Knights of Najd, will not bend the knee to Ronaldo and will remain strong even without him. This stance contrasts with the views of Al-Nassr fans, who have shown support for the 41-year-old during a protest in the club’s 2-0 victory over Al-Ittihad.

On the TV show “Action with Waleed,” Al-Faraj, as reported by Kooora, said: “We will not bow down for the player. Are we going to beg him? Our country and our league are more important than any single player. Al-Nassr has always been, and will always be, a top club whether Ronaldo is here or not.”

Ronaldo has been crucial for Al-Nassr this season, scoring 18 goals and providing three assists in 22 matches across all competitions. Despite his absence, the team has performed well in the last two games and now sits just one point behind league leaders Al-Hilal.
