The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially opened the sale of application forms for the 2026 Direct Entry programme.
According to an announcement on its official X account, JAMB confirmed that registration “began today, Monday, 2nd March 2026, and will close on Saturday, 25th April 2026.”
The board stressed that the entire process—including the purchase of e-PINs and application forms—is limited strictly to its accredited state and zonal offices nationwide.
Direct Entry enables candidates holding recognized qualifications—such as a National Diploma, National Certificate in Education, Interim Joint Matriculation Board certification, A-levels, or other approved equivalents—to gain admission straight into 200-level university programmes, bypassing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This launch comes shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 UTME registration exercise, which ended on February 28.
