The enforcement exercise targeted a range of traffic violations, including speed limit violations, overloading, failure to wear seatbelts, unlicensed drivers, tyre and vehicle documentation issues, number plate violations, and general vehicle maintenance infractions.
During the session, Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin, highlighted that the mobile court operations form a key part of the command’s ongoing enforcement strategy.
Fasakin explained that the mobile courts increase operational visibility and ensure strict compliance with traffic regulations, aiming to reduce road traffic accidents across Ogun State.
He commended the orderly conduct of the proceedings, noting that adequate security, including armed personnel, supported the exercise.
The commander urged motorists to prioritize safe driving and maintain proper vehicle documentation to prevent avoidable accidents and fatalities, stressing that the initiative serves as both a deterrent against reckless driving and a demonstration of the FRSC’s commitment to prosecuting offenders who endanger lives on Nigerian roads.
