Maikatako described the visit as an opportunity to welcome back a former APC member who has returned to the party, noting that it would help strengthen unity within the fold.
He said the party’s focus is to consolidate its strength in Zamfara and ensure that members work together toward the progress of the state and the country.
He urged party members to put aside factional differences and work towards shared objectives, stressing that a united APC would improve its chances in the 2027 elections.
According to him, Governor Lawal’s return underscores the APC’s status as a platform for those committed to good governance and development.
He called on all party members across the 147 wards in the state’s 14 local government areas to turn out en masse on Tuesday to honour the presidential visit, describing it as a move to strengthen and boost the APC’s popularity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Maikatako also reaffirmed that the party remains focused on shared goals, including the prosperity of Zamfara and national development, urging members to engage their communities and promote unity and growth within the party.
